☀️ WP1: Development of scalable metallization processes

✔ D1.1 completed

A full and validated simulation framework (Sentaurus + COMSOL) is now in place for TOPCon and SHJ cells, covering shingling, TWILL, and different metallization methods.

✔ TOPCon plating

A new hybrid process was developed (screen‑printing + plating), delivering:

– 24.3% efficiency on M10 cells

– More than 50% silver reduction

– Strong contact adhesion

Module reliability tests are now being prepared.

✔SHJ plating

Using FlexTrail seed‑grid + copper plating on SHJ half‑G12 cells, we achieved:

– Over 24% efficiency

– Significant savings in silver and indium.

✔ Dispensing hardware

The new G12 print head is commissioned, wet‑in‑wet printing was demonstrated, and printing speed was increased — leading to much faster processing.
