☀️ WP3: Processes for innovative interconnection
The objective is to develop and scale up alternative interconnection technologies such as classical and matrix shingling and TWILL, while also optimizing new materials and processes to reduce cost and improve reliability. We further support this development through thermo‑mechanical modelling of failure modes and by exploring release encapsulants that enable easier end‑of‑life disassembly and recycling.

🚀 M12 Achievements
• Strong collaborative progress in determining and characterizing new module encapsulants suitable for advanced interconnection approaches
• Establishment of reference cells and module concepts for both shingling and TWILL architectures
• Dissemination of WP3 results at SiPV, MIW, and IPV conferences, strengthening visibility and technical engagement across the PV community
• Release‑mechanism testing with reference cells currently ongoing, supporting future recyclable module designs
