☀️ WP4: Equipment Development and Manufacturing

The objective is to design, manufacture, and validate next‑generation production tools supporting SHJ, TOPCon, shingling, TWILL, Light Soaking, and ERP processes. This includes developing new metallization, plating, passivation, and interconnection equipment tailored to advanced cell architectures and thin‑wafer handling.

🚀 M12 Achievements

• Applied Materials and Highline successfully integrated a parallel dispensing head for G12 wafers on the Tempo Presto metallization tool. The first wafers were printed, and results were presented at the recent EU‑PVSEC conference.

• IPTE released a modified lamination tool for G12 wafers, enabling laminate development for TWILL interconnection. Installation and testing at IMEC are planned to begin in early 2026.
