About the speaker:
Helge Malmbekk โ EMPOWER Horizon Europe Project Coordinator and Head of the Solar Energy Materials & Technology Department at Institute for Energy Technology (IFE), Norway.
Helge brings extensive research leadership experience with a particular focus on bridging research, pilot-scale development, and industrial deployment. At IFE, he leads multidisciplinary teams working on next-generation solar cell technologies, sustainable manufacturing processes, and European value chain development. Through EMPOWER, he coordinates a broad consortium of research organizations, equipment suppliers, and industrial partners dedicated to strengthening Europe’s competitiveness in photovoltaic manufacturing and accelerating the commercialization of solar technologies.
