🔆 EU PVSEC 2026 Highlights | SHINE PV on Stage and in the Poster Sessions

October 6, 2026

As we wrap up our EU PVSEC 2026 highlights, we would like to thank all SHINE PV partners who contributed to an outstanding representation of the project throughout the conference!

From advanced metallization and copper plating to shingled module technologies and innovative characterization methods, SHINE PV developments were showcased across multiple oral and poster presentations, demonstrating the project’s contribution to advancing the next generation of European photovoltaic manufacturing.

🎤 Oral presentations:
• Matevž Bokalič (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering) – Optimization of Metallization in TOPCon and SHJ Silicon Solar Cells for Shingle and TWILL Interconnection (1CO.1.1). In partnership with: Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE, Applied Materials, imec
• Elmar Lohmüller (Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE) – Baseline for Edge Passivated TOPCon Shingle Solar Cells and (Matrix) Shingle Solar Modules (1CO.1.2)
• Agata Lachowicz (CSEM) – Reinforcement of FlexTrail Seeds by Electrodeposited Copper for Sustainable Metallization of Heterojunction Cells (1BO.2.6). In partnership with: Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE

📌 Poster presentations:
• Jonas Eckert (Fraunhofer ISE) – Achieving Module-Ready Silver-Lean TOPCon Cells with Copper Electroplating (1BV.5.28). In partnership with: RENA Technologies GmbH
• Ilya Chebunin (imec) – New Method for Evaluation of Resistances inside PV Modules (3AV.2.34)
• Jonathan Govaerts (imec) – Multi-Wire Module Modeling, Measuring and More (3AV.1.23)

These contributions reflect the strength of collaboration within the SHINE PV consortium and our shared ambition to develop more efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective photovoltaic technologies for Europe.
